Artist’s Note: "In The Name of Love" is a reiteration of her 2017 flag installation at Lillstreet's Rooftop Gallery that payed homage to Diana Ross and the Supremes. Her 2022 flag depicting Diana Ross sparkling with sequins evokes not only the glamour of the performer, but also her transcendent ability to lead diverse individuals in rituals of healing, empowerment and love. In these times, Ross's iconic lyric becomes a desperate plea to stop: stop the guns, stop the violence, stop the stripping of pregnant peoples' rights, stop all of this madness in the name of love.
